People shocked by Rory Culkin's penis scene in new series Swarm

Want some penis with your strawberries? If you've been watching the new Prime Video series Swarm, then you won't have had much choice.

Don't say I didn't warn you:

The series dropped on the streaming service last week, introducing viewers to Dominique Fishback as Dre; a woman whose obsession with pop star Ni'Jah gets out of hand and takes a dark turn.

The series is depicted as a drama and thriller, but there are also some comedic moments, like this particular scene starring Macaulay Culkin's brother, Rory Culkin.

Fans might have initially focused more on Culkin's face as he made his appearance in the show, with his resemblance to the Home Alone star hard to miss. But in this scene, there's absolutely no escaping his penis.

We see Rory in all of his glory after his character takes Dre's virginity in the first episode of the show. The following morning, he hops on to the bed with a glass bowl full of strawberries, artfully placed to present his manhood squashed up against the side of the bowl.

Though Culkin's character is very clearly walking around naked in the rest of the scene, the abruptness with which he presented his penis caught fans off guard and made it impossible for people not to comment.

"Was that rory culkin strawberry scene necessary," one viewer wrote after coming face to face with the penis, while another commented: "They put rory culkin on swarm all of 5 minutes just so he could show his d*ck next to a bowl of strawberries?????"

Some viewers have speculated that the penis seen in the show actually belonged to a body double rather than Culkin himself, though one quite truthfully commented: "Peen is peen."

While that particular scene has been met with mixed reactions from fans, Swarm in general has gone down pretty well with viewers and has earned a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 85 percent.

The series has been created by Janine Nabers and Donald Glover, who has described the series as being 'a post-truth TV show'.

As it looks into the dangers of relationships that are formed through a screen and mixed with reality, Glover said: “I know there’s a lot of heavier issues or ideas but it really boiled down to, is this something that’d be fun to watch? … That’s something that we talked a lot about [in the writers room], like, this could be really kind of weird.”

Swarm is now streaming on Prime Video.
