Fans thinks Stranger Things has confirmed Will Byers is gay after he gave an emotional speech to pal Mike Wheeler.
Stranger Things fans have speculated Will (played by Noah Schnapp) might be gay for years - and some reckon it was finally revealed in seasons four volume two when Will spoke about how it feels to be different.
In the scene, Will and Mike (played by Finn Wolfhard) are in the back of Argyle’s (Eduardo Franco) pizza truck that is being driven by Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton) as the group attempts to locate ‘Nina’ and find Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown).

During the journey, Mike opens up to Will about how he fears Eleven might not love him anymore and will no longer need him in her life.
In an attempt to console his friend, Will whips out the painting he’s been working on which shows Mike as the ‘leader’ and calls him the ‘heart’ of the group.
He then goes on to say that Eleven has struggled to be apart from Mike while living in California, but it appears she isn’t the only one who misses having Mike in their life every day.

A teary-eyed Will then stares out of the window and says: "When you're different, sometimes you feel like a mistake. But you make her feel like she's not a mistake at all. Like she's better for being different and that gives her the courage to fight on.”
Although Will doesn’t actually say he’s gay many fans think the heartfelt speech was a clear indication that character is.
Posting on Twitter one fan said: “Just because Will didn't say out loud that he's gay doesn't mean he didn't come out. it was clearly there and Johnathan clearly picked up on it.”

Another wrote: “People are saying the Duffer brothers didn't actually address Will's sexuality like they said. But they did, it doesn't have to be an official coming out scene to see YES, THIS BOY IS GAY. It’s subtle, and natural.”
While a third said: “Will… just know the gays know you’re not talking about El in that situation.”
