Former Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter has responded to claims she’s been the victim of an ‘explicit picture leak’.
It’s been reported explicit pictures and videos of the actress, hacked from her iCloud, were uploaded to a porn website.
According to The Sun, the photos show Jorgie in her underwear and sunbathing while the video sees her ‘bounce her boobs to the camera’ and ‘cavort about in just a pair of pants, as a blonde pal larks about beside her’.
One of the snaps reportedly showed Jorgie topless with fellow ex-Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davis.
A friend told the newspaper:
Jorgie is so upset about this. It’s cruel. These images were never meant to be shared widely.
However Jorgie has now responded to the photos herself, denying the woman in the photos and videos are her contradicting The Sun‘s source.
Taking to Twitter, Jorgie wrote:
So disappointed by today’s lies. First invasion of privacy and some stolen silly pics with friends but second the inaccuracy surrounding those pictures.
I’ve NEVER taken sexually explicit pics or videos. It makes me sad that we live in a world where women constantly have their privacy invaded.
Despite the headline I am not devastated as the pictures and videos suggested are not me. Which is exactly what I told the journalist on Friday.
But hey, anything to get a story. Be kinder to each other – the world would be a nicer place.
Her tweet has received much support from her fans who are praising the actress for standing up and ‘speaking out’.
One Tweeter, Keith Smith, wrote:
There is an old saying hun, a lie is halfway around the world before the truth gets out of bed.
Such a sad world where people have to stoop so low to further their own career.
While another fan, equally sickened by the tweet said:
Disgusted yet again that yet another celebrity has had their personal life invaded.
Another applauded Jorgie writing on Twitter:
Well said! Things need to change and speaking out is a step in the right direction. Girl power.
Jorgie famously visited the jungle in I’m A Celebrity back in 2015 and is currently on E4‘s dating show Celebs Go Dating as well as Celebrity Haunted Mansion.
She’s the latest celebrity to have alleged intimate photos appear online.
In the past few months, it’s been reported photos of a naked Miley Cyrus and Kristen Stewart have been surfacing online.
