The Golden Globes ceremony this year was a relatively sombre affair.
While Hollywood seemed distracted by the political upheaval in America, and many of us watched on as Meryl Streep took down the President-elect, some actors chose instead to enjoy the glamour and escapism the award ceremony offered.
Enter Kaley Cuoco, TV’s favourite funny girl, who plays Penny from The Big Bang Theory.
Arriving at the 18th Annual Post-Golden Globes Party hosted by Warner Bros. Pictures and InStyle at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday night in Los Angeles, Kaley caused quite a stir with the slack-jawed paparazzi thanks to the plunging neckline on her dress.
Thankfully, the ever-funny Cuoco beat the Sidebar of Shame commentators to the punchline.
The 31-year-old actor shared a dressing room selfie just before she took to the famous Golden Globes party red carpet in honour of her team of make-up artists and stylists.
Kaley got into the evening’s spirit of congratulations, writing, ‘Heading to the Golden Globes with my golden globes… Good job team!’
Sharing another red carpet snap, Kaley wrote, ‘globes indeed’.
While I’m usually not one for repeating a joke, I still applaud Kaley for her wonderfully self-aware sense of humour.
The actress has repeatedly been forced to fend off criticism for her breast augmentation surgeries and this post is a clear two-finger salute to all her naysayers.
Take a bow.
