I’ve conceded in the fact the Kardashian/Jenner clan are here to stay, they’re not going anywhere. So instead of getting annoyed at them, I’ve decided to acknowledge they exist.
They are real-life human beings who happen to exist in the hyperbolic echo chamber of mainstream and social media, there’s no getting away from them. They see, hear and (maybe) read all that is said about them.
Which is why Kourtney Kardashian’s boyfriend had to quickly delete his savage comment from one of her Instagram posts, but not before it was screenshotted and shared across the world. Looks like someone’s got some explaining to do. Awkward.
It appears Kourtney’s boyfriend, Younes Bendjima, isn’t a big fan of her provocative pictures on the ‘gram and according to a source, who spoke to PEOPLE, it’s what led to them splitting up in the past.
On Kourtney’s most recent post, Bendjima left a comment saying:
This is what you need to show to get likes?
The comment, which has since been deleted, was in response to a picture of the reality star posing in a bikini. I mean come on Younes, you know who you’re dating right? When you’re in a relationship with a Kardashian or a Jenner you’re also in a relationship with social media.
According to the unnamed source, they claim:
He [Bendjima] never liked that she posted sexy pictures of herself on social media. He doesn’t want his girlfriend to do that. He gets that it’s her job, but wants her to post more covered up picture.
He has always had a problem with this. This is the stuff they argue about and what made them split in the past.
The couple were on holiday recently in Italy and according to the source:
Kourtney and Younes spent several weeks together in Europe. They had the best time. It was hard for Younes when Kourtney left and returned to L.A. with the kids.
39-year-old Kourtney was first introduced to Younes, aged 25, during a trip to Paris back in October 2016 and they went public with their relationship while out in Cannes, last May. Since then, they’ve been on a luxury holiday to locations such as St. Tropez and Egypt. Their blossoming romance was even televised on the latest season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Last year, in December, another unnamed source ‘close to the couple’, told PEOPLE Kourtney and Younes were ‘definitely serious’ about their relationship.
The source said:
No one thought their relationship would last this long, but Kourtney is very happy. Younes has met her kids. Kourtney’s family really likes him. He’s the opposite of Scott. He doesn’t party, isn’t flashy and really treats Kourtney with a lot of respect. It’s obvious that he really cares about her.
I don’t know much about the Kardashians, not because I dislike them or anything, but because I’m too busy trying to sort out the drama in my own life. So I don’t need to burden myself any further by taking on their problems too. If I had that luxury I’d still be watching Eastenders, wouldn’t I?
That being said, I think Kourtney is my personal favourite of the family, she seems the most low-key, I’d say down to earth but I’m not sure if that’s really possible in clan Kardashian-Jenner.
