Leonardo DiCaprio's Oscar win ranks among the best moments in Academy Award history, so why not relive it?
There's been certain Oscar moments I've felt very lucky to watch - yes, you can argue that award shows are meaningless and nobody cares, but I care, and so do lots of people.
I sat mouth agape as Warren Beatty announced La La Land as Best Picture, only for it to actually be Moonlight. I leapt off my chair when Roger Deakins finally took home a statuette for Blade Runner 2049. I was over the moon when Parasite made history. And, like everyone else watching at home, I cheered when DiCaprio finally won.

Ahead of this year's Oscars, TikToker @calmiax posted an incredible montage of the star's journey through the Academy Awards.
He nabbed his first nomination in 1994, nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his turn in What's Eating Gilbert Grape? when he was just 19. While it was a fantastic performance, he was beaten by Tommy Lee Jones for The Fugitive - I think we can all agree that's the deserving winner. Disagree? I don't care.
It was more than 10 years before he got his next nomination, this time for Best Actor for Martin Scorsese's The Aviator at the 2005 Oscars.

However, Jamie Foxx took home the award for Ray, the same year he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Collateral - the superior performance, I'd add.
Two years later, he was nominated for Blood Diamond, but he was beaten by the inimitable Forest Whitaker for The Last King of Scotland.
In 2014, he inched even closer to that golden gong with The Wolf of Wall Street, sweeping awards on the trail to the Oscars, only to be beaten by Matthew McConaughey for Dallas Buyers Club on the night.

The star even gave him a hug before taking to the stage.
In 2016, he finally had his moment.
Nominated for Best Actor for The Revenant, he was up against Bryan Cranston for Trumbo, Matt Damon for The Martian, Michael Fassbender for Steve Jobs and Eddie Redmayne for The Danish Girl.

It was pretty much a sure thing, but LA's Dolby Theatre went crazy when Julianne Moore read out his name.
The TikTok video has racked up more than 4.2 million views and thousands of comments from fans.
One wrote: 'And still after waiting so long for Oscar, when he got it in 2016 his whole speech was about the planet, how we need to save the planet, what a man!'

Another wrote: 'One of the best actors to ever live had to wait that long.'
A third said: 'This left me sobbing for no reason.'
