So there we have it, Love Island is over for another year following a fit and fair finale. Only joking, it was a fix of course!
Full disclosure: I don’t actually know if it was fixed but a lot of people sure seem to think so.
After months of grafting, plenty of mugging off and of course Georgia being ‘loyal’, this year’s Love Island came to a close tonight with Dani and Jack walking away with the £50,000 prize money and each other’s hearts as boyfriend and girlfriend, as well as everyone else’s.
Being coupled up from episode one, they have continually been the favourites to win beating Megan and Wes, Laura and Paul, and Josh and Kaz in tonight’s live final.
However, after Laura Anderson and Paul Knops reached the final two above Josh and Kaz and Megan and Wes, fans of the ITV2 show are calling BS on the whole thing.
One punter said, ‘If josh and Kaz are 3rd you can tell it’s such a fix. Laura and Paul that aren’t even boyfriend and girlfriend won over meg and Wes asking each other out at the same time? Na. #loveisland”
#LoveIsland this is so fake. No way would Laura and Paul beat Josh and Kaz. Gtfo. Such a fix.
A third commented:
Is love island a fix …… I can’t believe the final results #LoveIslandfinal how could laura and Paul beat meg and weslet alone josh and Kaz!!!!!
A fourth fumed:
Naaaaaaaaaw this is making 0 sense, who tf has been voting for Laura & Paul??? FIX #LoveIsland.

Regardles millions of viewers still fell in love with winners Dani and Jack as they watched their romance blossom over the past two months.
Entering the villa following a string of failed romances including a cheating boyfriend, 22-year-old Dani stepped forward for cheeky pen salesman Jack who picked her over Samira.
Not only were Dani and Jack two of only four Islanders who have remained in the villa the entire series – 11 entered the show in the first episode back in June – but the pair are also the only couple to stay together throughout.
There were of course plenty of re-couplings this year but Dani and Jack stuck with each other despite producers’ attempts to split them even bringing one of Jack’s ex-girlfriend’s into the villa.
Dani and Jack were also ahead of all the other couples when it came to popping some big questions.
They were the first to make their relationship official, drop the ‘l-bomb’, discuss starting a family and agree to move in together once they are out of the villa.
Love Island, you could say, is a testing show but Dani and Jack overcame every challenge they were presented with whether it be the lie detector test or Jack’s ex-girlfriend Ellie entering the villa.
The couple did have their low points but resolved their problems maturely, demonstrating their commitment to each other. Can’t argue with that really, can you?
Worthy winners if you ask me. Congratulations guys, all the best. Keep doing you. Dream big and bold and give ’em Hell!
