Sarah Hyland had a quick response after she was accused of being ‘disrespectful’ by Love Island USA contestant Mike Stark.
In case you missed it, Hyland was presenting the popular dating show in an episode that aired last week - however, things didn’t quite run smoothly for the Modern Family star after one contestant lashed out at the way she spoke to a couple.
Stark accused Hyland of sounding ‘mad disrespectful’ when she was talking to another contestant about her decision to leave the villa.

During the episode, Hyland revealed that after picking up the fewest votes Keenan Anunay would be dumped from the show, after which his partner Vickala 'Kay Kay' Gray said she would voluntarily leave, too - much to the surprise of the other contestants.
"Can I say something?” Gray said.
“I would like to voluntarily also leave. I feel like I found what I came here for, and I'd like to leave with Keenan."
After announcing her plans, Hyland asked: "Before you go anywhere, I just want to make sure that you are absolutely happy with your decision.”

To which she replied: "No regrets."
At this point, Stark - who had befriended the couple - piped up to ask: "Why are you saying it like that?"
A taken aback, Hyland then turned to Stark and asked: “Me?”

With Stark responding: "Yeah. You sounded mad disrespectful.”
Hyland clearly disagreed, hitting back: "I'm being disrespectful? Okay then."
But Hyland managed to shut the whole thing down with a quick response after fellow contestant Leonardo Dionicio said: “I apologize for his reaction, I think it’s just the heat of the moment.”
Thanking him for the apology, Hyland quipped: “Boys will be boys, right?”

The 32-year-old has since addressed the drama on social media.
Posting to her Instagram Story ahead of the episode, she wrote: “When I tell you that tonight’s episode was wild. It was absolutely wild.
“I thought New York Sarah was gonna come out, but I kept it [professional].”
While in a follow up she added: “Tonight. There Will be Blood.”
Viewers were quick to defend Hyland, with one fan saying: “I'm shocked. She's the host, of course she's gonna ask someone who's decided to voluntarily leave the show if she's sure of that decision.”

Another said: “Mike was ridiculous for trying to disrespect a Love Island host. She’s just gonna do her job.”
While a third commented: “A contestant was leaving the show who didn’t have to, of course Sarah as the host asks if she is sure about her decision. Sarah did not deserve to be spoken to like that and clearly was the person who was disrespected in this situation.”
Someone else said: “Sarah Hyland secured her cheque for the next season of Love Island when she said, 'Boys will be boys'. Iconic queen.”
