How 'Netflix And Chilling' On Valentines Day Could Earn You £50,000

You can get paid £50,000 for sitting back and watching your favourite Netflix shows.

Are you going to 'Netflix and chill' with your Valentine this year? Well, you may as well make some money while doing it – £50,000, to be exact.

Ever since Stranger Things hit our screens in 2016, streaming platforms have normalised the binge-watch more than ever before; laying like broccoli in front of the TV, steadily working your way through series after series, shamefully confirming you're still watching when Netflix checks to see if you're still alive.

Especially during lockdown, people really ploughed through their long list of must-watch shows. But here's a question: what's the most binge-able show out there, and will your eyes feel dry while watching it? Well, if you take this job, your questions will be answered.

Lenstore, an online contact lens retailer, is 'on the hunt to find the biggest TV binger – someone who loves TV and sees the ‘are you still watching Netflix’ message multiple times a week', according to the job application. 'If this sounds like you, we want to challenge you to watch 10 different TV series and rate them in line with Lenstore’s new binge-ability ranking… and we’ll pay you! Yes, you did just read that correctly.'

Whoever gets the job will need to rank TV series, including shows set to return in 2022 like Bridgerton, Love is Blind and Ozark.

'After watching you will be required to rate the show on a series of ‘bingeability metrics’ where you’ll be asked questions including, how likely you were to choose 'next' once an episode ended and how often you looked at your phone during an episode. Using all that data from your hard work of watching, we will compile a list of the most bingeable TV shows for all of us serial chillers,' the application adds.

In exchange for your copious telly-viewing, you'll be given £50,000 and a year's worth of eye drops. Of course, there are some terms and conditions; importantly, the winner is responsible for any taxes/duties incurred, local or otherwise.

If you're applying, you can only submit one application and multiple entries won't count. You must also respond to the firm's survey questions in the requested time frame, and if you don't respond upon winning, the job will be forfeited. However, unlike some of these job opportunities, it's open to everyone across the world.

If you'd like to apply, send an email to [email protected] outlining why you're perfect for the role.
