Many Netflix subscribers have flocked to social media sites to discuss the latest horror film to released on the streaming platform.

A new Netflix movie that follows a coma patient has been dubbed as 'insane' and is leaving much of the internet mad.

If you're a subscriber of the popular streaming platform - and let's face it, who's not - then you'll know it can be difficult to know what to put on.

Scrolling through each category on Netflix and finding something to watch is never easy, so seeing what others are talking about online is always helpful.

The current talk of the town is the horror/mystery film Locked In, which released on Netflix at the start of last month.

Locked In has plenty of famous faces feature in it - with the likes of Anna Friel, Famke Janssen, Finn Cole, Rose Williams and Alex Hassell all involved.

The movie tells a tense family affair which explores the wildly complex relationship between a woman and her mother-in-law.

An official synopsis for the film reads: "Unhappy newlywed Lina is against her rich, coldhearted mother-in-law, Katherine. An affair sets off a chain reaction that will result in a love triangle, a murder and a plot to bring Lina down."

Katherine, played by X-Men star Janssen, wakes up in hospital after being hit by a car and is suffering from locked-in syndrome.

The only way she can communicate is by blinking, with her nurse Nicky devoted to finding answers.

Since Locked In released on Netflix last month, many have flocked to social media to provide their thoughts.

The ever-present Netflix Bangers Facebook page is once again a hot topic for conversation, with many viewers voicing their frustrations.

"I only have one word for this movie … INSANE. They all were wrong!! Only person that made sense was the nurse," one Facebook user exclaimed in a post.

Many other fellow social media users have flocked to the comments section of the post with similar views.

"Rubbish movie. Don't waste your time watching it," one person wrote.

A second added: "What a load of rubbish."

While a third remarked: "Well thank God I came to the comments cause I was just about to go watch it lol."

Locked In sits at a rather low 29 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, with an even worse 26 percent audience score.

Benjamin Lee, from the Guardian, penned: "Aping the format and tease of a novel that you just can’t bear to put down, Locked In is instead a film you wish you would have stopped far earlier."

While Ready Steady Cut's Lori C. was slightly movie positive: "Locked In is the type of made-for-TV thriller you’d expect to catch on Lifetime on a Friday night. That’s not necessarily a bad thing."
