Netflix viewers are raving about ‘best series ever’ that had them on the edge of their seat

Netflix subscribers cannot get enough of the 'best series ever'

Many Netflix subscribers have flocked to social media to rave about the so-called 'best series ever'.

We've all got our preferred Netflix go-to, haven't we? Whether that be Stranger Things or something a little more obscure.

But no matter how much you love that particular TV show or film, it can become a little tiresome watching it over and over again... well, for some anyway!

So, it's always good to head to Netflix social media forums, such as LADbible's 'Netflix Bangers, to see what everyone is raving about.

Well, one particular series has received a lot of praise online with some even dubbing it as the 'best series ever'.

Wentworth is an Australian TV series that first broadcast on SoHo in 2013 and concluded on Fox Showcase with its 100th episode in October 2021.

Now available on Netflix here in the US, the series acts as a contemporary reimagining of Prisoner, which ran from 1979 to 1986.

However, Wentworth is very much a series in its own right, with it even being picked up by several other countries such as the UK and New Zealand.

Set in modern-day Australia, the first four seasons of Wentworth tells the story of Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack) when she first enters prison after being charged with the attempted murder of her husband.

Bea is separated from her daughter and sent to Wentworth on remand, where she starts at the bottom of the hierarchy.

She is then forced to learn how to survive a life behind bars but there's certainly a bumpy road ahead.

One Facebook user took to the 'Netflix Bangers' page after taking the plunge with the series, writing: "Okay yall have convinced me. I’m now watching Wentworth and whew!!!"

Many have since flocked to the comments section of the posts to heap praise on Wentworth.

"I cried after the last show, knowing that was it!! lol!! Best series ever!" one viewer exclaimed.

"Keeps you on the edge of your seat every episode. Loved it," a second added.

"I love Wentworth I’ve rewatched it 3 times," a third remarked, while a fourth quipped: "It's sooooo good! I've watched twice and might do it again soon."

While Wentworth does not have enough critic reviews for a Rotten Tomatoes score, it does have an impressive 92 percent audience score.

"This show has so many clever twists and turns, it really keeps you on the edge of your seat," one social media user penned.

"I loved the old show, and love the new show, so well done and all the old gang are back, Bea, Lizzy, Dore, Vera, Jim, Meg and Erica. 10/10," a second wrote.

Wentworth is streaming on Netflix now.
