One of Angus Cloud's final films before his tragic death last year is set to be released in cinemas later this month.

The Euphoria star tragically and suddenly lost his life in July last year.

At the time, his family released the following statement to TMZ: "It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today.

"As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss.

"The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.

"Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence."

After an inquest, it was confirmed that the actor had died from an accidental overdose.

At the time, a spokesperson for the Alameda County Coroner told Entertainment Tonight: “Angus Cloud died from a lethal combination of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and more, in what is ruled as an accidental overdose.

"Angus suffered from acute intoxication from the combination of drugs, which also included benzodiazepine."

Prior to his tragic passing, Cloud had been working on the Universal Pictures' horror movie, Abigail.

The actor appears alongside Melissa Barrera, Kathryn Newton and Dan Stevens in the upcoming movie coming to screens very soon.

The horror follows a group of kidnappers who are targeting their next victim, and that as you would probably expect is Abigail.

However, the criminals soon realize Abigail is a vampire, and all hell breaks loose.

The film is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, best known for directing Scream (2022) and Scream VI (2023).

Abigail is one of three movies featuring Cloud to be released following his death, which begun with the release of Dan Brown’s thriller Your Lucky Day in November.

Back in January, the late actor also starred in Pedro Pascal's Freaky Tales, a film that made its debut at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.

As for Abigail, that is set to release in the US on Sunday (7 April) at The Overlook Film Festival.

With Cloud, there's no doubt his legacy lies with Euphoria where he starred as Fezco in the hit drama series alongside the likes of Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi.
