Fans have slammed actor Jacob Elordi for admitting he didn't want to make one of his previous film projects.
In an interview published earlier this week, Elordi said he 'didn't want to make' the Kissing Booth movies.
He rose to fame after starring in the 2018 rom-com The Kissing Booth as Noah Flynn - the bad-boy older brother of Lee Flynn (Joel Courtney) and love interest and later boyfriend of Elle Evans (Joey King).
Since the Netflix movie - and its second and third instalments - came out, Elordi has gone on to star in hits such as Euphoria and has now taken on the iconic role of Elvis in upcoming release Priscilla.

While it may not be as big as some of his more recent cameos, The Kissing Booth certainly remains a comforting favourite for many, especially as we snuggle down ahead of the winter months.
Elordi, on the other hand, isn't exactly a fan.
The Kissing Booth's synopsis reads: "When teenager Elle's first kiss leads to a forbidden romance with the hottest boy in high school, she risks her relationship with her best friend."
And it was clearly doing something right considering two more movies were later made.
But speaking to GQ, Elordi admitted: "I didn’t want to make those movies before I made those movies. Those movies are ridiculous. They’re not universal. They’re an escape."

He went on to say the traditional 'one for them, one for you' Hollywood ethos - i.e. balancing more commercial movies with passion projects - is 'a trap'.
"It can become 15 for them, none for you. You have no original ideas and you’re dead inside. So it’s a fine dance," he added.
Well, these comments did not exactly go down well with film fanatics, as some flocked to X to voice their thoughts.
One person wrote: "I feel like these celebrities just want attention because it's a trend of them always saying they 'hated' their biggest movies like man bye."
"Why do artists and actors hate their biggest roles and their biggest songs. Is it just to feel different? Like I don’t get it," another penned.

However, fellow X users came to Elordi's defence, with one person writing: "It's literally a terrible movie though so I don't see why he shouldn't say this."
While a second remarked: "You don’t have to like every job you’ve ever had, I hope this helps."
