Let the grans see the man!
Beloved television personality Paddy McGuinness has just announced a new mature direction for ITV’s dating stalwart, Take Me Out.
Speaking slyly on BBC Radio One, the Lancashire comedian-turned-matchmaker unveiled his desire to host a special show for OAPs, hoping to force the producers to commission his idea after going public with it.
Our Paddy told Radio One’s Grimmy:
I don’t know if I can say this, but we’re doing two specials this year. One of them, this is going to get me in so much trouble… It’s not been green lit this, but if I say it, it’ll happen.
We’re doing an old age persons’ special. Come on, I love the OAPs.
The only thing left to be seen is what talents the older romantics bring down the Love Lift – as always though, no likey, no lighty.
Let’s hope the OAPs are just as creative and original as this fella:

Hopefully the mature contestants will bring a little clever innuendo, class, courting and romance to proceedings… We’re imagining something straight out of Phoenix Nights and we likey.
And I imagine there’s shuffleboard and Werther’s Originals in good supply on isle of Fernando’s.
ITV, make this happen!
