Kenobi Fans Convinced Zach Braff’s Character Was Actually Voiced By Seth Rogen

The plot twist to end all plot twists.

The newest Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi has been a hit with fans ever since it dropped on Disney+.

But now, fans have spotted an Easter egg of sorts – and it’s all related to Zach Braff’s character, Freck.

This mole-looking creature helped out Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and Princess Leia Organa (Vivien Lyra Blair) by providing transport after arriving on a mining planet.

However, viewers are now convinced that the character was actually voiced by Seth Rogen, due to the uncanny similarities in their voiceover styles, in spite of what the credits may suggest.

“That’s definitely Seth Rogen #Kenobi,” one Twitter user wrote of the character in the series.

“Seth Rogen in Kenobi, this show’s already goated,” wrote another fan.

Another fan asked: “Is that @Sethrogen in the latest episode of @obiwankenobi?”

“Is that @Sethrogen as a giant mole in Obi Wan?” someone else asked about the actor on the social media site.

“Is Freck Seth Rogen? Because he sounds exactly like Seth Rogen,” a different fan tweeted.

Someone else added: “Dude am I tripping or is that the voice of Seth Rogen?”

Meanwhile, others believed that the Scrubs star, Braff, did actually voice the character – but were still in shock at how similar the two sound.

“Tbh the biggest plot twist is that Zach Braff voiced Freck, not Seth Rogen #Kenobi,” one onlooker penned.

Someone else quipped: “Zach Braff does an incredible Seth Rogen impression in the latest Kenobi. Did not see that coming.”

“@Sethrogen dang I thought you guest-starred in the new Obi-Wan Kenobi episode,” another fan admitted.

Elsewhere, Moses Ingram, who stars as Reva on the series, recently revealed that she believes the diversification of Star Wars ‘should have happened sooner’.

The actor recently spoke to Tyla about the long-established lack of inclusivity within the beloved franchise, which follows shortly after John Boyega and Kelly Marie Tran were subjected to disgusting racist abuse after their roles in the Skywalker trilogy.

“I think it’s so important, I think they should have done it sooner,” Moses said. “But I’m glad that I am the person that they saw fit to be put in this position, and I enjoyed it and I hope that other people enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it.”

Moses taking on the role of The Third Sister in the new series marked a turning point for cultural diversity for the Star Wars Disney+ brand, which was previously created by Lucasfilm, and had yet to see women of colour at the top of the casting roster.
