Another commented: "So, I finally showed my beloved gran (who’s been a hardcore fan of #Elvis from the beginning) and this specific part of the trailer has us giddy. This isn’t Austin Butler portraying Elvis, this IS Elvis. I can sense an Oscar nomination coming from a mile away.

"The tone of voice he says it in is pitch perfect. My gran was in awe, it’s frighteningly accurate and I cannot wait to experience this film with her."

Butler stars alongside Tom Hanks, Helen Thomson and Richard Roxburgh in the flick.

The film focuses on Presley's 'complicated relationship' with his talent manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Hanks), with the caption to the trailer reading: "The story delves into the complex dynamic between Presley and Parker spanning over 20 years, from Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America. Central to that journey is one of the most significant and influential people in Elvis’s life, Priscilla Presley (Olivia DeJonge)."

Presley's wife, Priscilla, has also praised Butler's performance as the singer.

In a post to Facebook, she said: "Austin Butler, who played Elvis is outstanding. Halfway through the film Jerry and I looked at each other and said WOW!!! Bravo to him…he knew he had big shoes to fill. He was extremely nervous playing this part. I can only imagine."
