Piers Morgan completely lost it on today’s Good Morning Britain as he interviewed a homophobic doctor who claims he can ‘cure people of homosexuality’.
Dr Michael Davidson appeared on the show explaining his belief that homosexuality is a sin and an abomination and it can be cured with gay conversion therapy.
He also claimed this treatment helped him get rid of his homosexual urges.

Dr Davidson explained:
I now have two children and have been with my wife for 35 years.
My homosexual urges can still be triggered. But counselling, prayer and psychotherapy helped me to turn away from it.
He also added he now hosts his own therapy classes with up to 14 people a week which helps ‘gay people to locate the trauma that triggered their homosexual feelings’.

His claims did not go down well with presenter Piers Morgan who completely lost it live on air.
Piers shouted at his guest:
We have a word for people like you in this country. We call them bigots! In my view you are a malevolent and dangerous part of our society!
What’s wrong with you? Who are you to say such things?
Do you really think homosexuality is something that needs to be cured? Why don’t you shut up, you old bigot! This is utterly ridiculous.
Ok, we may have clashed heads over mental health but I like @piersmorgan for this. I've interviewed this awful man too: riddled with issues! https://t.co/i9SXuCbVwy

Piers then ended the interview abruptly saying ‘Michael, just shut up’ echoing many viewers’ thoughts.
To anyone struggling with their sexuality that saw @GMB – You're not broken & there is absolutely nothing wrong with you #GoodMorningBritain

People are entitled to think being gay is an abomination? No one has a right to be hateful, & right to opinion doesn't mean right to offend

You may not like Piers but you gotta love his stance on some things. Glad he's back on the show.

However, many people have also been taking to social media to criticise the show for giving Dr Davidson airtime at all.
If you genuinely still watch a show which debates curing homosexuality take a long look at yourself. @GMB @piersmorgan @susannareid100. #fb

Giving a platform to someone like this is disgusting. Would you do the same for pro-suicide groups? Bulimia advocates? They all exist…

That putting them on TV may result in gay kids killing themselves or being harassed by their families.

Whether the show was right to give the doctor airtime or not, we’re glad Piers has stood his ground and pointed out the absurdity of this doctor’s logic.
