Robert Pattinson has opened up about a demand he made before taking on the role of Batman.
Having started his career as none other than Cedric Diggory, and then a certain bloodthirsty 17-year-old, Pattinson has most recently taken on the role of DC superhero Bruce Wayne.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the 35-year-old revealed some very specific advice he was given by former Batman actor Christian Bale in relation to a certain item of costume.
Pattinson detailed how he accidentally 'bumped into' the actor in the urinal when he was given the advice, Business Insider reports.

He said, 'I was a bit scared to ask them anything but I bumped into Christian Bale. [I was] next to him in a urinal and I guess it kind of inspired him to say, 'The first thing you need to do in the batsuit is figure out a way to pee'.
'So when I went to the costume department I was like, 'First things first. I need a patch. I need a flap on the back.' Easy access... I pee sitting down.'
Other actors who have taken on renowned superhero roles have expressed similar sticky situations regarding the ability to go to the toilet in their costume.

In 2017 on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Spider-Man's Tom Holland noted what a 'mission' it was.
'It looks amazing, [but it] feels terrible... going to the bathroom is a mission. You have to plan 45 minutes in advance,' he explained.
Andrew Garfield, who took on the role of Peter Parker prior to Holland, teased the Unchartered actor about how he was given 'little zippers' in his suit so that he could get his hands out 'very easily'. 'To work his phone, [Holland] had to use his nose because he couldn't access his hands,' he said.
While Pattinson may have demanded a flap in his batsuit to enable him to use the toilet more easily, he himself had to give in to a demand that was made surrounding his 'atrocious' voice.

Despite writer and director Matt Reeves having written the script with the actor in mind, the voice that Pattinson first put on when he adorned his black cape was quickly shut down.
However, the change ultimately paid off considering fans branded Pattinson's voice in the role of Wayne as 'perfect', leading many to think that the actor could well end up being the best Batman we've ever seen.
The Batman will hit cinemas on March 4.
