Snowdrop actor Park Soo Ryun has died at the very young age of 29, her family have confirmed in a statement.
Born in 1994, the Korean actor was best known for her role in the K-drama Snowdrop which really rose her to the fame she experienced in the last few years of her life.
For those to have never watched the show, Snowdrop told the enduring love story of Youngro, a university student that treats the bleeding Suho, a student attending a more prestigious university in Seoul.

Alongside Ryun in the cast were the likes of Jung Hae-in, Jisoo, Yoo In-na, Jang Seung-jo, Yoon Se-ah and Kim Hye-yoon.
While the county of origin for the show was South Korea, it certainly made it big in the West, too - with a large following in the US and Europe thanks to it being available on Disney+.
Ryun debuted in the entertainment space in 2018 with the musical Tenore, in what was a long list of musicals for the actor.

Alongside that, Ryun appeared in several musicals in her career, including the likes of Finding Mr. Destiny, The Cellar, The Days We Loved, Somehow Theater Festival and Siddhartha.
The actor and singer should have had her whole life ahead of her, but a tragic accident has meant she has devastatingly left us.
After receiving a statement from her family, Korean media outlet Soompi reported Ryun fell down the stairs while returning to her home.
The tabloid Osen adds the actor was immediately rushed to hospital where attempts were made to try and save her.

But tragically, doctors declared her brain dead at the scene.
Her devastated family have decided to donate her organs to someone that needs them to honour her memory.
Ryun's mother told Soompi: "Only her brain is unconscious, and her heart is still beating. There must be someone who desperately needs [organs]. As her mother and father, we will be able to live comforted [by the thought that her heart] has gone to someone and is beating."

Her last rites took place on Monday (12 June) with a procession to honour her and all that she did in her life set to take place on Tuesday (13 June).
