It’s crazy to think it’s over 20 years since one of our favourite, animated kids’ TV programmes hit our screens, but what is Arnold up to now?
Lane Toran was the voice of Arnold, the football-headed character, back in the 90s and early noughties, but his lifestyle is pretty different now, Viral Thread reports.
Far from being the nine-year-old, yellow-haired quirky hero of our primary school days, time has obviously gone on and the real life Arnold is completely different to his TV persona.
These days, he rocks long, hipster hair and a lengthy beard rather than a baseball cap and well, just looks a damn sight cooler than his on-screen counterpart.
Not only does he look the total opposite of the little, cartoon guy that gave him his fame, he’s also an actor and a musician in a band.
Apparently the former Nickelodeon star is now the lead vocalist and songwriter for his intriguingly named group, DieRadioDie.
Lane has clearly always had a varied life, as he was bizarrely involved in the writing of Hilary Duff’s Sweet Sixteen track, back in her teenage heyday.
Not quite so rock and roll…
Some great news for those wishing to re-live their childhoods though, as Lane will be returning in a Hey Arnold! film later this year, as Wolfgang the bully.
This is music to my ears.
Who would have predicted Arnold would grow up to be a tattooed rockstar though?
