Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have been snapped celebrating finishing filming for Bad Boys 3, with the two actors enjoying a well-earned rest together under a pair of brollies.

It’s been a while, but the threequel is finally coming for us, promising plenty more new escapades from the beloved Miami detectives.

Lawrence shared the photograph on his Instagram account, with the following celebratory caption:

Bad Boys. It’s a wrap! #teammartymar #badboysforlife #history

It’s been 16 years since the pair appeared together in Bad Boys II as Detective Sergeant Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) and Detective Sergeant Mike Lowrey (Smith).

And fans are getting excited for the Bad Boys 3, entitled Bad Boys for Life.

One person commented:

So much yessssss!!!! I cannot wait!!!! I’m already going to pencil this in as the greatest trilogy of all time!

Another excitable fan exclaimed:

Congratulations!!!!! Need to start on Bad Boys 4 now. This is going to be huge!!!

Both Smith and Lawrence are a little older and wiser than they were in the original 1995 hit Bad Boys, but no doubt their classic buddy-cop chemistry will bring as many fun and action packed moments as as ever. So what can we expect from the duo this time around?

According to the IMDb synopsis:

Marcus Burnett is now a police inspector and Mike Lowery is in a midlife crisis. They unite again when an Albanian mercenary, whose brother they killed, promises them an important bonus.

This long awaited sequel will also star the likes of Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Joe Pantoliano, Charles Melton, Kate del Castillo, DJ Khaled, Happy Anderson, and Paola Nunez.

Welcome back Detective Sergeant Marcus Burnett and Detective Sergeant Mike Lowrey, it’s been far too long!

Bad Boys for Life will be released in theatres as of January 17, 2020.
