You would have thought Bruce Willis would’ve had enough of playing John McClane by now, but it turns out he will actually return for Die Hard
Nearly two years after it was announced that producers were working on a part-prequel, part-sequel installment to the seemingly bottomless film series, director Len Wiseman has confirmed that main man Willis is officially on board.
The film will be a parallel story featuring Bruce Willis’s role as John in the present day with a new actor playing the vigilante during his younger years as a New York cop.

Wiseman told Deadline:
The right casting for this role is crucial. Those bare feet have some very big shoes to fill.
Willis last played McClane in 2013’s A Good Day to Die Hard where he dived into the heart of Russian organised crime alongside Jai Courtney as his son.
As well as this venture, Willis is currently working on a sequel to M. Night Shyamalan’s Unbreakable called Glass where he will work with Samuel. L. Jackson and James McAvoy.
You can’t keep a good man down.
