A day doesn’t go by without a new front-runner emerging to be the next 007, but apparently Daniel Craig might not be giving up his tuxedo just yet.
He famously said he’d rather ‘slash’ his own wrists then reprise the role of James Bond, but it seems he may have had a change of heart if this new report is anything to go by.
According to a source at Radar, Sony are so desperate to have the Hollywood A-Lister return, that they’ve reportedly offered him a staggering $150 million (£113 million) to come back for two more films. That’s a lot of martinis.
A source told the site:
[He] has played a genius hand. Everyone knows how much executives adore him, and the idea of losing him at such a crucial time in the franchise isn’t an option as far as all the studio honchos are concerned.

Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston and Aidan Turner had all been rumoured as possible replacements, but it seems bosses still want Craig.
It’s believed that Sony want to shoot the films ‘virtually back-to-back’, but neither of them will be directed by Sam Mendes, who has ruled himself out of returning to the franchise.
Producer Barbara Broccoli will be responsible for making the final decision over whether Craig will return as the world’s most famous spy.
The 48-year-old actor has also since claimed that he has the right to change his mind about quitting as Bond, so who it’ll be is anyone’s guess.
Only time will tell whether he takes them up on such a ludicrous offer.
