It was bound to happen, but Jimmy Kimmel has opened the 90th Academy Awards with a series of Weinstein digs.

The talk-show host pointed out that Oscar, the inanimate statuette namesake of the awards, is the most respected man in Hollywood.

He said:

Oscar is the most respected man in Hollywood – he keeps his hands where you can see them, never says a rude word and, most importantly, no penis at all.

He is literally a statute of limitations, and that’s the kind of men we need more of in this town.

However, not all of his jokes landed with the live audience, when talking about sexual harassment in the workplace.

He said:

If we can work together to stop sexual harassment in the workplace, women will only have to deal with harassment all the time every other place they go.

Still, it’s incredible that Kimmel has declared official Academy support for both #MeToo, Times Up and the March For Our Lives movement.
