Mark Hamill had a secret second role in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and nobody can figure out who the character is.

There are plenty of cameos in the latest Star Wars film, (which was released just last week), but it turns out, one of the biggest names of the film franchise has found himself in a second role, which has left people completely baffled.

Those who stayed to watch the film’s end credits noticed, as well as his role as Luke Skywalker, Hamill’s name appeared a second time by a character named ‘Dobbu Scay’.

Doug Bowman took to Twitter to post pictures of the end credits and said he hadn’t figured out the ‘meaning’ of it.

He wrote:

As the credits roll for #TheLastJedi, note the extra roll credited to Mark Hamill as ‘Dobbu Scay’. Haven’t found the significance/meaning yet.

Yet he isn’t the only one who’s got no idea, it seems everyone has been asking the question on Twitter, but to no avail so far.

John Hoey said:

I need to know everything about Dobbu Scay, and I need to know it now.

While Adam Fenstermacher said:

If there is anything flying under the radar about  it’s @HamillHimself performance as Dobbu Scay. Give this man an Oscar.

In the film, the late Carrie Fisher appears once again as Princess Leia, now known as General Organa, in The Last Jedi, which is the final film she made before her death last year.

Fans have been waiting to watch her last performance, but none more so than her beloved French bulldog, Gary Fisher, who a year on clearly still misses his mum.

Eager to see the film, Gary attended an opening night screening at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.

Dressed in an adorable X-Wing pilot costume, he reportedly recognised Fisher every time she appeared on screen, with his ears perking up!

Fisher didn’t go anywhere without Gary, who was a regular on set during The Force Awakens, so it's no surprise he's been given a cameo role in The Last Jedi.

In a photo from the film, John Boyega’s former Stormtrooper, Finn, can be seen chatting to new addition Rose, played wonderfully by Kelly Marie Tran.

If you look carefully in the background, there's a cute creature who director Rian Johnson, confirmed is indeed Gary, now known as Space Gary.

On the release date of the latest film, Gary shared his love by 'writing':

It’s official!! Mom would be so excited. Big hugs to Rian Johnson and the Star Wars family, as they honour my Mom Carrie Fisher by bringing me to life in The Last Jedi.

See if you can find me, anybody know where my tongue is? Corby McCoin and I can’t wait to see uncle Mark Hamill and our princess as she graces the screen one last time.

I wonder if we'll ever get to know who the mysterious Dobbu Scay is?
