If you fancy scaring the shit out of yourself, new zombie film It Stains The Sand Red will do the job nicely for you.

If you’re a big fan of being freaked out by messed up zombie thrillers like Walking Dead or 28 Days Later, then basically this little corker is going to be right up your alley.

Flesh-munching zombie films are always a winner for movie nights – or scaring your little brother shitless – and this independent horror film’s latest offering is just what you’ve been missing from your life.

Here’s the trailer and be warned, it’s a bloody one:

Although I’m hugely squeamish, you just can’t beat a good zombie film – an apocalypse could happen right?  – but even if you’re not normally a fan, this film looks guaranteed to leave you in bed with the light on.

It Stains The Sand Red starts off like any other of its kind, with the classic ‘zombie-apocalypse,’ scenario and one woman trying to run for her life.

Perhaps what makes this even more intense, is the added hopelessness of the barren desert scenes and the fact the zombie-creature is relentless – never pausing in its mission to destroy her. Creepy.

Add into the mix a shit-load of blood and gore and then finish it off with a nice block of tension, then you’ve got one freaky AF film, which could potentially beat the 28 days franchise in the scary stakes – which I didn’t think was possible.

Of course the zombie creature looks utterly horrifying, which is always an essential ingredient for a messed up monster movie.

So far it has received a hell of a lot of attention – cementing it firmly in the horror realm as ‘one to watch’ – but sadly, there is no sign of an official release date yet.

For now we’ll just have to make do with the creepy trailer and mentally preparing ourselves for its impending release.
