‘Tis the season to be jolly so it is time to pour yourself a drink and be merry.
2018 has been the year of gin and with the spirit still being the trendiest drink on the market it is set to take over Christmas.
You may have heard of gin baubles and gin advent calendars but now gin Christmas crackers have arrived to ensure you truly get into the festive spirit.
The Really Good Whisky Company, who also make gin products, are wishing us all a Happy Gin-Mas as they release gin Christmas crackers which they describe as being perfect ‘for gin lovers everywhere’.
Each of the six crackers you get in a pack has a 30ml surprise awaiting you as well as a festive hat and the usual ‘customary cracker accoutrements’.
Sadly the product description says there ‘is no snap’ but since each pack contains the following gins, Kokoro Gin, Portobello Road 171 Gin, Edinburgh Gin, Gin Lane Victoria Pink Gin, Hendricks Gin and London Hill Gin, we ain’t complaining.
Costing £47.99, the company says ‘if you and your guests appreciate good, different and delicious gins, these are the crackers to adorn your Christmas table this year!’
In addition to the gin crackers, The Really Good Whisky Company also sell crackers for the whisky aficionado, the whisky connoisseur and finally for the fine whisky lover. So there really is something for everyone if you fancy boozing up your crackers this year!
If you want to share some gin-mas love you can also do so by sending your friends and family gin filled Christmas cards which now are very much a thing.
This year Scottish gin distillers Daffy’s have released a card which will make you merry, containing a little bottle of their very own gin tucked inside.
Daffy’s can either post directly to the sender or to the lucky recipient of the card meaning you can even add a personalised and handwritten message if you wish.
The product description on Daffy’s website reads as follows:
The weather outside may be frightful, but the gin inside is delightful!
The Daffy’s Gin Christmas Card is the ultimate card and gift to give this Christmas. Nestled inside the card is a 5cl miniature and a festive message.
Each card comes in an individual protective postal outer.
Daffy’s is a gin like no other, created from the finest French grain spirit, distilled on an ancient copper pot whisky still with Lebanese mint and the finest botanicals to create a gin that is classic, complex, perfectly balanced and fresh with a world of intrigue.
You can purchase the cards either online or from luxurious department store Harvey Nichols. You can get individual cards for £7.49 a pop, with packs of six costing £44.94.
Speaking about the product to UNILAD, managing director and distiller at Daffy’s, Chris Molyneaux, said:
We had the idea of creating the ultimate Christmas Card for any gin fan at an accessible £7.49 price point.
We’ve designed what we hope will be a perfect card-present combo for friends and family, Secret Santa and fit through the letterbox when posted!
We wish you a Merry Gin-mas!
