Battlefield 1 Upcoming DLC Fully Detailed

As previously promised, DICE has finally revealed the first paid expansion for Battlefield in full, and it looks like a bloody good time.

They Shall Not Pass was announced months ago, teasing the arrival of the French Army to the World War I shooter, but a new post on the official Battlefield website outlines all the new maps, modes, weapons, and items on the way.

DICE

There are four maps being added to the game in total, including Verdun Heights, Fort Vaux (below), Soissons, and Rupture (above) – all look markedly different from what we’ve seen in the game so far, and variety is always key when you’re shooting folk in the face.

There’s also a new mode coming. It’s called Frontlines, and seems to be a mix of Rush and Conquest.

DICE describe it best:

Both teams fight for one flag at a time and when this objective is captured the action moves on to the next. Capture the enemy’s HQ control point and the game turns into a Rush-style section where telegraph posts need to be attacked or defended.

They Shall Not Pass also introduces a new Behemoth vehicle called the Char 2C tank, which DICE says can be used to ‘turn the tide of an entire battle’. You can check that one out below, while the St. Chamond tank rounds out the new vehicular additions.

Meanwhile, a melee-based Elite class known as the Trench Raider uses a ‘Raider Club’ and an ‘impressive grenade arsenal’.

A new stationary field gun, the Siege Howitzer, is also included with They Shall Not Pass, which can be used by any infantry player.

There’s still no solid release date for They Shall Not Pass yet, though we know it’s coming sometime in March. Anyone who owns the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass will be able to play two weeks before any of us other peasants, however.
