Battlefield 1’s first major expansion has been confirmed to land on March 14, for those who forked out for a Premium Pass, EA announced today.
The publisher also released a shiny new trailer to get us excited for the DLC, which introduces the French army along with four new maps and a slew of weapons and modes – check it out below:
They Shall Not Pass is only the first of four paid expansions coming to the DICE’s popular WWI shooter – there are three more coming at various points throughout the year.
Name of the Tsar follows They Shall Not Pass, and gives us the Russian army, letting players ride ‘with the legendary Hussars’ and take part in the Brusilov offensive and Albion assault.
After that we’ll be getting the naval themed Turning Tides – in it, we’ll get a new destroyer and coastal class airship, will be able to take part in the Zeebrugge raid, and storm the beaches of Gallipoli.
The fourth and final expansion is ominously titled The Apocalypse, and DICE will only tease that it includes ‘the most infamous battles of WW1’ and ‘brutal tools and unique weapons born out of desperation and deadlock’.
Those without the Premium Pass who decided to pick up the expansion separately will be able to play from March 28, a full two weeks later.
