maxresdefaultmaxresdefaultAre you ready to git gud all over again? Publisher Bandai Namco has announced that Dark Souls 3 is returning from the depths to punish us with new DLC; ‘Ashes of Arandel’.

A trailer for the DLC was posted to Twitter, but has since been removed, suggesting some goon jumped the gun and hit publish early.

Thankfully, it’s here for us to enjoy now – check it out below.

So, we know that the pack will include new weapons, spells, armour, monsters, and bosses – all bringing with them inventive new ways to die.

Japanese gaming blog Hachima (via Polygon) reports that the impending edition of Famitsu magazine includes exclusive pictures of some of the elemental powers we can expect to use  in ‘Ashes of Ariande’.

These include some sweet new ice powers, a promising looking fiery sword, and some kind of light-filled boomerang. There’s also an exclusive PvP map called Immortal Competition – though it’s not really clear what that entails at the moment.

This is the first of two planned expansion packs, which can either be purchased separately or picked up as part of the season pass, which grants access to all future content.
