Death Stranding Reportedly Casts A-List Actor Alongside Norman Reedus

It’s looking like Norman Reedus won’t be the only well known face in Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding

A new, mysterious tweet from Kojima and an innocuous picture from a fan,  seems to suggest that Hannibal star Mads Mikkelsen will be appearing in the PS4 exclusive project alongside the Walking Dead actor.

Check out Kojima’s tweet – taken from the motion capture studio – below.

Hardly conclusive, of course – but a fan then posted a picture to Instagram, showing off a selfie of him with Mikkelsen.

As you can see in the image below, Mikkelsen is sporting the same orange hoodie with grey lining as we can see in Kojima’s own tweet. Coincidence? Whenever Kojima is concerned, there’s no such thing.

But let’s assume we’re in super sceptic mode, and that our Mads just so happened to choose that hoodie on a whim.

The fan in the picture went on to claim that he had a brief exchange with the Danish actor, and revealed that he’s apparently in Sheffield ‘acting in a videogame’, a ‘Japanese videogame’.

If you need even more, it turns out that Kojima has previously tweeted revealing that Mikkelsen is his favourite actor.

If I had a beard, I’d stroke it in interest. Really, how many people wear grey and orange hoodies (not a great combo), are acting in a Japanese videogame, and happen to be Hideo Kojima’s fave actor?

Just one that I can think of. Death Stranding continues to be one enigmatic son of a bitch.
