Perhaps the most irritating character in all of Fallout is Preston Garvey, the over-eager Minutemen member who became infamous in Fallout 4 for sending players after an endless wave of settlements that needed our help.
Of course, just because Fallout 76 is set a long old time before Fallout 4 doesn’t mean players are safe from Garvey and his settlement-obsessed ways.
That’s thanks to Fallout 76 player RpTheHotrod, who is actually roleplaying as Preston – and rather impressively so, I must say.
Using the game’s robust character creation tool, as well as some Preston-style threads, our hero is roaming the wasteland to inform fellow players of – you guessed it – settlements that are in need of help.
This fake Preston is even using audio clips from Fallout 4 from the real Preston, and playing them over his microphone for added authenticity. Props to this guy for effort.
Check out the video below to see the first Minuteman of Fallout 76 in all his glory. Note that the players he harasses aren’t thrilled to see him again, because why would you be?
Hopefully fake Preston continues his noble quest in Fallout 76. Before long, if we’re lucky, there’ll be an entire pantheon of Minutemen roaming the post-apocalyptic wastes of West Virginia.
Oh, and remember; another settlement needs your help. I’ll mark it on your map.
