The Festive Surprise 2016 for GTA 5’s online mode is now live, courtesy of Rockstar Games.
A heap of new seasonal extras will join all the content from previous GTA Online Christmas events, including the popular firework launcher.
In addition, players will be able to enjoy double RP and GTA$ in the new Turf Wars Adversary mode, and an eye-watering triple RP for getting involved with Plummet, the latest premium stunt race.
Of course, there’s also a heap of Christmas-themed clothes to grab – including some wonderfully tacky jumpers, and Santa masks – all available for free.
What’s more, you can net rewards of up to $50,000 more when you sell vehicles stolen from the recently released Import/Export update.

It wouldn’t be GTA without cars of course, and the frestive update introduces two new variants in the form of the Truffade Nero and Nero Custom.
Both are available for purchase in the new update, while other stuff like apartments and weapons get a seasonal 25% discount.
Festive Surprise 2016 comes hot on the heels of the Import/Export expansion, which itself was only released earlier in December, so there’s plenty of new content for us to get to grips with over the Holiday period.
Of course, if Rockstar really cared about Christmas, they’d give us that GTA 5 single-player DLC we’ve all been asking for.
