Naughty Dog have released the massive Survival update for Uncharted 4, along with a series of detailed patch notes – at 3.8 GB, it’s a pretty large file.
The free update comes with two new maps, five weapons, a whopping 48 new character skins and plenty more to boot – check out a trailer below.
New weapons include the M4 Assault Rifle, PAK-80 Light Machine Gun, Micro 9mm automatic pistol, Para 9 pistol, and a heavy weapon in the form of a Desert 5 pistol, while the two new maps are Prison, and the returning Trainwreck.
In addition to the above, we also get a brand new horde-like mode called Survival in which you can take on 50 waves of increasingly difficult enemies alone or with friends.
According to Naughty Dog, each stage should take the average player around 15-20 minutes to clear, which should keep us all busy while we wait for the Lost Legacy story DLC to land.
For a better look at everything you can do in the new update, check out Naughty Dog’s recent livestream, which I’ve left below for your viewing pleasure. Alternatively, you can check out the patch notes here.
Uncharted 4 is far from over, it seems. The Lost Legacy DLC – which features Chloe and Nadine – is so big that it’s being released as a standalone game, and will also be added to Uncharted 4 sometime in 2017.
