If you’ve ever dreamt of Michael Fassbender falling on you from a great height and plunging his hidden weapon deep into your throat, then the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie might just be up your alley.
We already knew that an Assassin’s Creed movie was in the works, but now, some new images have emerged via twitter – Ubisoft’s Head of Content for the Franchise – Azaïzia Aymar – tweeted a picture of the Abstergo logo direct from the movie’s set.

Aymar also tweeted a picture of himself on set with the film’s director Justin Kurzel.
Michael Fassbender is set to star in two lead roles – he’ll play modern day Callum, and historical assassin Aguilar. Also confirmed to star in the film are Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, and Michael Kenneth Williams.
Ubisoft Motion Picture’s CEO Jean-Julien Baronnet described Fassbender’s role:
We told him we were going to build the project together. We have a huge brand and we want to make a film with references to feature films like Batman Begins and Blade Runner. He was promised that he could work with the writers, we would associate it with all key creative choices.
The Assassin’s Creed movie is currently scheduled for release on December 21 2016. Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate will be heading to Xbox One and PS4 on October 23 and Windows PC on November 19.
