September is creeping up on us, and it promises to be as cold and perhaps more dreary than the “Summer” we just enjoyed in the UK. Still, bad weather is nothing more than an excuse to play more video games.
Great news then, as the death of one month means the birth of a new batch of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers to enjoy – so what does September have in store?
PlayStation 4 owners can get their hands on superhero adventure inFamous: Second Son, and “Brutal aerial FPS” Strike Vector Ex.
If you’ve got a PS3, you can nab Truck Racer (which does what it says on the tin, really), and Handball 2016 which again, is almost disappointingly self-explanatory.
If you’re a PS Vita sorta chap, you can pick up twin-stick shooter We Are Doomed, and dating sim/visual novel Hatoful Boyfriend. Both Vita titles are also available to PS4 owners thanks to crossbuy.
As a cheeky bonus, those of you in the US can also get PSVR title RIGS: Mechanised Combat League. Well done, you.
The new titles will be available to download from next week – you have till then to check out August’s offerings, which include Just Cause 3 and Downwell.

After graduating from the University of Portsmouth in 2015 with a BA in Journalism & Media Studies (thanks for asking), he went on to do some freelance words for various places, including Kotaku, Den of Geek, and TheSixthAxis, before landing a full time gig at UNILAD in 2016.
