PUBG will finally bringing its battle royale charms to PlayStation 4 this week (December 7), but that’s not all Bluehole Studio and PUBG Corp have up their sleeves for fans.
It seems that PUBG Mobile – the mobile version of the game, if you didn’t get that from the name – is teaming up with Capcom to bring a Resident Evil 2 crossover event to players.
The event will, we imagine, tie in nicely with the upcoming Resident Evil 2 Remake, which launches on January 25. The official PUBG Mobile Twitter account shared a cryptic video and promised more information will follow very soon – perhaps The Game Awards?

While the video itself doesn’t give much away as to what we can expect from the crossover, there have been a few leaked images that suggest we’ll be getting some Resident Evil 2 themed skins, similiar to the Joker and Harley Quinn skins that recently graced PUBG as part of a partnership with Suicide Squad.
Hopefully the Resident Evil 2 goodness extends beyond simple skins though. It’d be awesome to get a Raccoon City map, or even some kind of limited time zombie mode – but that’s probably me dreaming a little too big.
For now, we’ll just have to wait for an official word and hope that Fortnite doesn’t come out of nowhere with a Silent Hill crossover event or something.
