Real Life Resident Evil Experience Sounds Awesome

Capcom and iam8bit just announced that they’ve collaborated on a Resident Evil escape room, which is something I didn’t even know I wanted till now.

For those that might not know, an escape room is a live, interactive event in which you’re locked in a room and must work together with friends and solve puzzles to get out.

So obviously, one based on Capcom’s flagship horror franchise is bound to be pretty damn special.

Unfortunately for most of the world, The Resident Evil Escape Experience is only available in Los Angeles from October 21 to November 6.

The escape room’s EventBrite page claims that the Resi room has ‘some obvious and some not so obvious nods to various Resident Evil games’, including some hints regarding the upcoming Resident Evil 7.

For those lucky few that could get to LA to do this, one ticket costs $35, and you can recruit a team of up to six. There’s no age limit, but the site does recommend that you’re at least 17 years old.

Beyond the escape room itself, iam8bit will have something of a cooldown area in the form of a gallery highlighting some of the best art from the Resident Evil series.

Those of us who can’t fork out for a trip to LA just to lock ourselves in a room will have wait till January, when Resident Evil 7 comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
