2016 has finally delivered some fucking fantastic news that the classic game RollerCoaster Tycoon has been released on iOS and Android.
The ‘new’ game, released by Atari and called RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic, is based on the original RollerCoaster Tycoon and will allow players to build and run their own theme park.
While 90s video game fans are no doubt already salivating about the idea of playing RTC on their phones, it gets better… it reportedly isn’t full of micro-transactions.
All you have to do is pay $6 (£4.50) once and the game is yours to do with as you wish.
There are two additional content packs, which you do have to pay for, called Wacky Worlds and Time Twister which are based on the the second instalment of the popular series and cost $1.99 (£1.50) each.
You can also, for the low, low cost of another $6 (£4.50) buy a toolkit that will allow you to edit scenarios, design rides and so on, while also importing and exporting previous parks you’ve built on the PC.
The full game comes to $16 (£13) but after the bitter disappointment that was RCT 4 for mobile (fuck you micro-transactions), it’s nice to see that Atari still know what people want.
You can download the game from Google Play or the App Store now.
