Star Wars Battlefront II Cinematic Trailer Has Leaked Online

The first trailer for the hotly anticipated Star Wars Battlefront II has leaked online – and yes, there is a story mode. Praise be to The Force.

The trailer was intended to make its grand debut during the Star Wars celebration event which is currently going down in Orlando, but since everything leaks these days, you can watch it now below.

The moody trailer starts with a bit of narration, during which we learn the story campaign will focus on the exploits of unknown soliders, and their struggles in a world in which Jedi and Sith could pop up and take their heads off in a second. Scary stuff.

Battlefront II isn’t content to linger in one era of Star Wars either, and will instead celebrate characters and scenes from the prequels, original trilogy, and the new films.

Characters shown off in the video include Rey, Darth Maul, Yoda, and everybody’s favourite emo fanboy – Kylo Ren.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a modern video  game without a pre-order bonus, and those who do will get access to something called The Last Jedi Heroes, which sounds like it’ll be tying into the upcoming Episode VIII.

There’s no word on a release date for Battlefront II just yet, but count on it launching somewhere around the release of The Last Jedi, which is hitting cinemas around Christmas.
