Xbox gamer Stallion83 – real name Ray Cox – has racked up a Gamerscore of 2 million, beating his own previous World Record after being the first to get to 1 million.
It is undeniably a huge achievement, and one that Cox decided to share on Twitch, as he got his Gamerscore over the line by playing Halo 2 from the Master Chief Collection. A fine game, I’m sure we can all agree.
He told Guinness World Records:
Halo is my favourite franchise so when I fired it up while searching for a game, it hit me that it should be the game I use.
Cox’s journey began way back in 2005, when he got his first achievement on November 22 for unlocking Cluster Buster in Hexic HD. Anyone remember Hexic HD? Me either, but I guess it’s now a pretty important game to Ray Cox.
Ray’s first World Record came years later in 2014, when he became the first person to obtain a Gamerscore of 1 million. This achievement bagged him a lifetime Xbox Live Gold membership for his troubles.
Cox told Guinness that he doesn’t know if he’ll be going for the big 3 million, but did say that he’ll “always love video games and achievements” and will always go for them whenever he can.
Well, congratulations Ryan. Here’s hoping we get to write about you hitting the 3 million mark in 2022. No pressure though.
