Since the game’s announcement back in April, fans has been crying out for a playable Star Wars Battlefront multiplayer beta. Today, their prayers have been answered.

The news was dropped by EA on their blog, and stated that the beta will be coming to Xbox One, Playstation 4 and on PC via Origin in early October.

PC World
The beta will take place on the ‘Walker Assault on Hoth’ level, which is a 40-person battle between Imperials and Rebels. You’ll be able to play as either side, and will also have access to Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. If you’ve got a mate, you can also try out the Survival Mission on Tatooine, where you must survive waves of Imperial Stormtoopers.

EA also announced in the blog post that the game mode Drop Zone will be playable in the beta, and that more info would be following soon.

Star Wars Battlefront launches 17 November on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC, one month before Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens hits the cinemas.
