While most Nintendo fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Switch, one lucky bastard already has his hands on one.
NeoGAF user hiphoptherobot claims an ‘unnamed store’ decided to ship him this early Christmas present, two weeks ahead of the official March 3 launch.
Of course, since the Switch doesn’t come bundled with any actual games, it’s not like we’ll be seeing spoilers for Breath of the Wild popping up two weeks early, but our lucky gamer has shared a detailed video showing off the as yet unexplored UI of the Switch.
First impressions? It’s a hell of a lot slicker than the awful, sluggish Wii U user interface, which took about fifty years to ever actually do anything.
Bizarrely Nintendo hasn’t actually given us an official look at the UI for its newest console, so this is the best peep we’ve had at it so far.
Of course, a slick UI is all well and good but I’m sure most of us who are interested in a Switch are mostly invested for the new Zelda, and the delightful prospect of being able to play it on the toilet/train/dull family functions.
The Nintendo Switch will launch Friday, March 3, priced at around £280 from most stores.
