What would we do if Pokemon were real? It’s a question every kid with a Gameboy and a heart full of dreams has asked at some point.
Of course, the reality is that if Pokemon were real, we’d most likely all be dead what with the giant fire breathing lizards and sentient moving piles of toxic slime.
With that cheery thought in mind, let’s take a look at some of the work of the insanely talented Joshua Dunlop, who’s brought the pocket monsters into reality with… eerie yet also kind of cute results.
Some of them are pretty cute to be fair, as you can see from the Diglett and Bulbasaur above. I guess I did always know Diglett is supposed to be a mole – but I never really saw it that way until now.
Moving on to the images below, I can’t work out if the Eevee is cute or actually kind of horrific. There’s something behind those glassy eyes.
Pikachu, Charmander, and Squirtle meanwhile, all look pretty much how you’d expect. Check ’em out…
If you’re impressed by Dunlop’s work and want to see more – which frankly, you definitely should want to do – just head over here and feast your eyes.
