As February (AKA the shittest month in existence) hobbles to a close, we can now look forward to March, the arrival of Spring, and a new Xbox Games With Gold lineup.
Like always, paying subscribers to the Xbox Live service can nab themselves four ‘free’ games, and March has some offerings that aren’t to be sniffed at.
If you happen to be one of those cool kids with an Xbox One, you can pick up the spooky psychological horror Layers of Fear (think P.T with paint), and the Ultimate Edition of the underrated multiplayer monster mash Evolve.
If you still insist on hanging on to your Xbox 360, you can net yourself the fantastic Borderlands 2 (although I’d be amazed if you hadn’t already played it and loved it), and side scrolling shoot ’em up Heavy Weapon.
As always, the Xbox 360 titles can also be played on the Xbox One, giving owners of the newer console plenty of choice for March.
Each game is only available for a limited window of time, and helpfully they all run at different times.
Layers of Fear is March 1 – 31, Evolve goes from March 16 to April 15, Borderlands 2 only puts in appearance between March 1 and 15, while Heavy Weapon is March 16 to 31.
