Ok admit it, for those of you on Instagram, we’ve all, at some point or another
accidentally liked our own posts – hello Ivanka Trump.
I can’t say I’ve come across the kind of people who do this – I wouldn’t snitch on my nearest and dearest anyway – but who even has the time to see who’s been liking their own content?
When someone in the public eye does this on social media it seems to cause a bit of a storm, which is exactly what the DOTPOTUS has done.
Earlier this month, Ashley Feinberg took to Twitter to share screenshots of Ivanka’s activity on Instagram, sharing an image of her liking spree on January 21.
The photos in question weren’t anything too horrendous, although maybe a touch narcissistic?
However, given who her father is, she’s probably in need of a bit of love, support and a good old confidence boost.
Ashley captioned the post: ‘busy night’ seemingly making a dig at Ivanka Trump, who’s currently serving as a White House adviser to her father, President Donald Trump.
In all fairness to Ivanka, of the posts she ‘liked’, none come from her personal account, rather ‘fan accounts’ which celebrate the president’s daughter.
But come on, does Ivanka really need to go to the effort to like these posts? Or is she simply giving a little acknowledgement and thanks to her adoring public?
At the time of writing Ashley’s post has received nearly 2,000 likes – take that for what you will.
However, despite her caption being a pretty clear insult to Ivanka, she does kind of make a point.
Rather than indulge in some serious self-appreciation on social media, perhaps she should be focusing on her job – helping her father to run the country.
Then again, we all need a little time to switch off, do we not?
The world of Twitter appears to be more bothered abut the fact Ivanka has a seemingly tough job on her hands and should be focusing on it – according to Vanity Fair she’s playing a significant role in finding a replacement for John Kelly – the president’s chief of staff.
The president’s relationship with Kelly has been fragile in recent months – since he took the position in July last year.
It was reported The Donald was furious Kelly had apparently called his plan for a border wall ‘uninformed’ on January 17.
A source told the publication:
Ivanka is the most worried about it. She’s trying to figure who replaces Kelly.
Which begs the question, if Ivanka is so worried about the situation why on earth is she spending crucial time liking an array of pictures of herself?
Ivanka and the rest of the Trump family are more than familiar with the media world and how ruthless it can be, so maybe she’s just participating in a tad of self-promotion.
The poor girl probably needs it given the things her father seems to keep doing and saying – we won’t mention anything to do with the adult actress scandal or the controversial remarks about certain countries!
