Shocking Mugshot Shows Devastating Effects Heroin Had On Teacher
As the old adage goes: heroin is a hell of a drug.
Despite being a part of the creative history of some of the world’s best musicians, it is not something that most of them would recommend.
It messes people up in the weirdest of ways and it’s actually a really tragic thing to see the effects that it can have on a person.
This couldn’t be clearer than in the recent case of Megan Sloan, a primary school teacher from Oklahoma.
The 27-year-old has recently been arrested after police found 40 syringes in her bag, some of them still containing heroin.
She was found with black tar heroin, methamphetamine, prescription drugs and various drug paraphernalia.
Shockingly, on the day of her arrest, she had left her bag full of heroin and syringes in the classroom.
Sapulpa police Lieutenant Phillip Diehl told News 9:
This particular morning the purse was left in the classroom, because as soon as she arrived at work, she was called down to the office, and so she set her purse down and left.
She was apparently discovered by a colleague who reported her after she saw comments discussing heroin on her Facebook page which she left open.
Diehl also said that Sloan had confessed to stealing two iPads and stealing field trip money to fund her habit.
Sloan’s picture has blown up on social media after police released the mugshot to highlight the impact that injecting yourself will have on your appearance – not that people needed telling.
Woah. She looks completely different, and definitely not 27 years old!
I can’t quite understand how she managed to remain functional as a teacher if she was abusing so heavily.
As horrible as the drug is, the really shocking thing is that she did it in such close proximity to second grade kids. That would make the kids 7 years old.
Hopefully she can get some form of treatment for her addiction and can begin to get her life back on track.
