You’d think this guy would get in the way of any romantic proposal or thoughts, but he actually documented one of the 21st century’s greatest love stories.

He goes by the name Jerry on Twitter and describes himself as ‘hated by Brits everywhere’.

But we absolutely love him for telling the world about the blossoming romance he witnessed between two baristas at a coffee shop in Brooklyn.

It’s like what happens in a lovable cringe teen film, but in real life!

Jerry’s narration of the tense moment when cafe girl expressed her love, and then he left to ‘think about what to say’ had us on edge…

I don’t think it could’ve gone any better than this!

He just came back, no words needed and kissed her…

His tweets received a lot of love from romantics everywhere.

Jerry restored over 5k people’s faith in love in one fell swoop.

Speaking to the Independent, Jerry said:

I was the only one there; the last other customer had left about ten minutes before. I was holistically shocked. It seemed too good, too pure to be true.
