It really feels like the weather is starting to turn and spring is trying to spring, so naturally we’re all looking to our summer plans.
Collective panic is setting in about the fact we’ve not been to the gym in about three months, as well as the fact, somehow, our bank accounts still haven’t recovered from Christmas.
Yet this isn’t stopping us from getting excited about the prospect of long, warm evenings spent with a cold drink and a BBQ.
Recently, with the announcement of a hot tub by Aldi, everybody started to realise this was the summer essential nobody knew they needed.
Now, Lidl have announced they’re releasing their own hot tub – and it’s even cheaper than the Aldi version.
The hot tub, which is okay either indoors or outdoors, can fit up to four adults (who has more than four friends anyway?) and has 120 powerful air jets as well as a 2200W heater.
It’s coming at the incredible price of £249.99, which is 20 bob cheaper than Aldi’s own iteration.
Thankfully, the hot tub is arriving in stores, April 5, so there’ll be plenty of time to enjoy this over the warmer months.
Every now and then we all deserve a bit of luxury. With the MSpa® 700L Whirlpool Hot Tub you can have just that with room for up to 4 adults, 360° all-round bubbles and the ability to travel through space and time! ?In stores Thursday 5th April for £249.99!

Just last week, we told you how Aldi’s version was heading to shelves after they sold in their droves last year.
The Aldi version will be on shelves come March 29, but you can already pre-order the hot tub right now!
At a remarkable £279.99, it sees off B&M’s inflatable hot tub by just one English penny, which is true business acumen.
Julie Ashfield, Joint Managing Director of Corporate Buying at Aldi UK, said at the time:
Last year, we saw unprecedented demand for our Spa Pool and are thrilled to be bringing more back for our customers to enjoy this spring.
As for other budget tubs:
Aldi: Spa Pool £279.99
Tesco: Bestway Lay-Z-Spa Miami Inflatable Hot Tub £310
B&Q: Bestway Lay-Z-Spa Miami Inflatable Hot Tub £347
Tesco: Bestway Lay-Z-Spa Palm Springs Inflatable Hot Tub, £388.00
Argos: Vegas six Lay-Z spa Hot Tub, £649.99
Very: Lay-Z Spa Hawaii Airjet, £659.99
Very: Intex Pure Spa Bubble Therapy Hot Tub, £699.99
You can add Lidl’s hot tub right to the top of that list now, though.
However, if you wanted to splash the cash, you could spend an extra penny and get the B&M Lay-Z Spa Miami Hot Tub.
Described as being ‘super comfortable,’ it too can accommodate up to four relaxees; ideal for chilled summer afternoon with mates.
As the rain clouds begin to form, Marcia can still relax and unwind in her spa! Thanks to a Lay-Z-Spa's portability she can easily reposition her spa into a more sheltered location ♨️ pic.twitter.com/WIWvHkWfBf

The Lay-Z-Spa website gives the following, glowing description:
Imagine coming home at the end of a long day and easing into your very own hot tub. Trust us, when we say that nothing compares to that feeling.
It’s the perfect way to end your day…
One Amazon reviewer raved:
Awesome, brilliant, great quality purchase, would recommend to everybody in whole wide world if I could, it’s that good.
I don’t know about you, but this has got me ready to get into one of these hot tubs with an ice-cold Margarita.
Not much, we can do about the lack of gym at this point, so we may as well embrace it.
