Prince William Might Miss His Brother’s Wedding Day

Meghan and Harry’s wedding date has been announced as the 19 May, 2018 , and planning is well underway.

But there is one person who will likely not enjoy the fruits of the months of planning which will inevitably go into the event: Prince William.

That’s because the wedding falls on the same day as the FA Cup final, and Wills is probably going to have to attend the ceremony, according to the Daily Star.

William is the president of the Football Association, which means he will have to show his face at the final, as is tradition.

If Wills does show up then the security will be on high alert in the capital to make sure the Royal makes it across London safely.

Personally, I’m imagining some kind of caper across town like in a Mr Bean episode where everything goes wrong, but it’s probably going to be planned down to the finest detail.

The couple are getting married in Windsor Castle, which is about 24 miles from Wembley Stadium where the FA Cup final will be held.

Sounds very doable, right? Well don’t forget the inevitable London traffic, that’s going to add some serious coinage on Will’s uber if he’s sat in traffic for hours.

It could well work out that the Prince goes to the wedding in the morning and high-tails it over to Wembley in the afternoon for a spot of footy.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement last month, and the palace revealed they would be married at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in May.

The palace also announced the wedding will be paid for by the royal family – including the service, flowers, music, and the reception.

It reads:

His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales and Ms. Meghan Markle will marry on 19th May 2018. Today’s announcement follows earlier confirmation of the month of the wedding and its location at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.

Of course, everybody is excited, especially because the 19th falls on a Saturday.

It’s like Harry and Meghan just want us to have a great party, long live the royal family.
